WOW, HOW TIME FLY!

Folks, it wasn't suppose to be like this....I've already negleted my new blog . I've challenged myself to stay on top of this. But in my defense, I've met myself coming and going because of the busyness of my schedule. All I can say is ........"Time sho-nuff flys". I've realized that this blogging can be a catharsis for me, if I'll stick with it. It's sort of like journaling ...giving room for my thoughts in a tangible place. So... I'm learning to slow down and enjoy this present time before any more precious time fly by. For the present is all that we have. The past is gone and we will never live in a 'tomorrow'. To really be present with ourselves and not indulge our thoughts in an unpromised tomorrow is a daunting task, for even the best of us. A book that I just finished reading says that "we spend most of our time in our mind, in the past, or in the future." That's a shame because we can only live today. We can love, touch, laugh, respond, change, dance, sow, repent, & serve only today. And if we do, then this so-called tomorrow will take care of itself. NOW PLEASE DON'T TAKE ME OUT OF CONTEXT...( I don't mean live it up today and indulge in unbridled passions, for tomorrow we die). I just mean we can choose to live our lives abundantly today. The book also says, "although much can be remembered and learned by looking back in the past, but only for a visit, not an extended stay". Think of all the good we could do if we fully lived in the present with an eternal perspective. For when our Heavenly Father dwells with us, He does so in the present. I want to use every drop of this precious time and not let it fly by without a second a second thought.
